Oh definitely not me or at the very least not myself alone. Perhaps a panel of Department members and other individuals who they know to be of sound judgment. Would you agree that those people who sought out this sort of business are collectively acquainted with a fairly broad swath of our population?

For what reason?

For example some have never even been on missions before. And others would not cooperate.

All must cooperate in missions if they call themselves Transport. And those who have not, will.

Okay but technically all being a transport means is having been plucked out of ones native dimension and that is something that can make some people rather surly.
Which is a problem in its own right but for the time being when there are fewer new arrivals than total transports I think the simplest solution is to have some degree of discretion.

It would be more accurate to say that I think enthusiasm should be a selection criterion.

So we make an announcement calling for volunteers. Those who do not respond are exempt.

I apologize for that oversight. As Saul Goodman and I have a preexisting acquaintanceship, combined with the network ID feature, I had not seen that step as necessary.
To remedy that, I am Kanaya Maryam, resident of unit 140, unit 505 formerly, unit 705 before that, from the same world of origin as liaisons Sollux Captor and Feferi Peixes.
I was on the October 3312 mission to Russia and subsequent monster invasion, the December 3312 "zombie apocalypse", the January 3313 Black Rock and Uruguay AI retrieval missions, the May 21st Albatross affair, and worked 60 hour shifts during the June 3313 plague.
Also on one month-long solo mission as well as two paired missions each lasting two weeks.
